Free Time

One of the things that is built into the Reaching Forward Conference is “free time.” It is hard to even imagine free time. Seems like everything is rush rush and hurry up and wait and rush rush! Free time does not exist for many of us.

Free time is built into the Reaching Forward Conference to afford you the time to visit the vendors, get a nice cold drink, run into people you haven’t seen for a long time, scout out your next program, and just plain relax a bit!

Who are the vendors? Everything from crafters, to continuing education schools, ILA, LACONI, and most importantly, chocolates! There will be authors to meet and books to purchase. You could sign up for your first personal membership in the Illinois Library Association!

While you are attending the RF Conference, stop and take a look at all of the people walking through the vendor area. It looks something like a fair. Lots of people, color, balloons, talking! It is a sure sign of life and liveliness! Which is what the Reaching Forward Conference is all about. Taking that liveliness and excitement and ideas back to our libraries! And the chocolate!
